Imagine tender beef strips, smothered in a rich, savory sauce, paired with crisp, steamed broccoli, all served over a bed of fluffy jasmine rice. Sounds like a match made in heaven, right?
To start, crumble that beef bouillon cube into warm water in a bowl and stir to dissolve; add soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and sesame oil and stir to dissolve sugar. Put those beef strips into a slow cooker crock and pour that sauce mixture all over them. Cover, and cook until the beef is tender enough to cut with a spoon, on Low for 6 to 8 hours, or on High for 4 hours.

While the beef is cooking, place a steamer insert into a saucepan and fill with water to just below the bottom of the steamer. Bring that water to a boil. Cook broccoli in a covered steamer until tender, 2 to 6 minutes; add to sauce in slow cooker and stir to coat.
Now, spoon 2 tablespoons of that delicious liquid from the slow cooker into a bowl. Whisk in some cornstarch and stir the cornstarch mixture into the liquid in the slow cooker until consistent in color. Cook on High until the sauce thickens, about 30 minutes.

Finally, serve that beef and broccoli with sauce over portions of cooked jasmine rice and garnish with sesame seeds. And, voila! A mouthwatering, comforting meal that’s sure to become a family favorite!
