Prep Time: 20 minutes. Cook Time: 32 minutes. Total Time: 2 hours 5 minutes. Servings: 6-8 people.

Let’s start by prepping our ingredients. You’ll need a 9×13 inch baking dish, a large skillet, and a piping bag or a spoon for filling the shells. Yes, it’s a bit of work, but trust us, it’s worth it!

First, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). While that’s heating up, cook your pasta shells according to the package instructions until they’re al dente. Drain and set them aside to cool.

Next, prepare your meat sauce. You can use your favorite store-bought or homemade sauce, or try our bolognese-style sauce recipe for an added depth of flavor.

Now it’s time to prepare the ricotta filling. In a large bowl, combine your ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

Stuff each pasta shell with the ricotta filling, placing them in the baking dish as you go. You can use a spoon or a piping bag to fill the shells – whichever you prefer!

Once all the shells are filled, pour the meat sauce over them, making sure they’re all coated. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and cover with aluminum foil.

Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. And that’s it! Your Lasagna Stuffed Shells are ready to devour.

This recipe makes 6-8 servings and can be made ahead of time. Simply assemble the stuffed shells in the baking dish, cover tightly, and refrigerate for 1-2 days or freeze for up to 3 months.

Leftover stuffed shells can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave until hot and bubbly.
