Prep: 15 minutes
Cook: 30 minutes
Yields: 4 servings

Get ready to indulge in the most epic fall dessert of your life!

Today, we’re diving into the world of baked apples, and trust me, you won’t want to miss this!

Imagine a warm, comforting treat that’s perfect for the season. A treat that’s so easy to make, you’ll be wondering why you ever bothered with complicated desserts in the first place.

Let’s head over to the recipe aisle and get started!

First, preheat your oven to 375°F. While that’s heating up, let’s prepare our apples. Cut them in half lengthwise and use a small spoon to scoop the seeds out of each half. Carve out the center of the halves a little more to form a small cavity in each one.

Now, rub the halves all over with melted coconut oil and place them in a baking dish. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes so that the apples start to soften.

While the apples are baking, let’s make the topping. Combine the oats, almond flour, walnuts, brown sugar, apple pie spice, and salt in a small bowl. Use your hands to work in the firm coconut oil.

After the apples have baked for 10 minutes, uncover them and pile them with the topping. Drizzle the topping with a little more melted coconut oil and bake for another 20 minutes or so, until the apples are tender and the topping is crisp.

And that’s it! Serve with vanilla ice cream, and enjoy the ooohs and ahhhs from your family and friends.
